What I’ve been up lately

A mock-up brochure I’m working on.

Lost 2 kgs in 2 weeks after 7 sessions (30 mins each) of WiiFit (and a change of eating habits). Very, very happy.

In the 3rd floor of library. Wearing my high school sports jersey as motivation to do assignments. Kinda works.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven’t been updating as actively as before.

It’s been hard…these past few weeks. Can’t really say it here, but let’s just say I’m just trying to live…more like, survive each day. Who isn’t, right? So I’m going to stop right here about that.

I came across a quote on Everyday Food I Love KK:

We are responsible for what we are, and what we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves. If what we are now has been the result of our past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act. — Swami Vivekananda

That just hit home.

It makes perfect sense.

Our present actions today does affects us – tomorrow, next week, next year.

For myself, I’d definitely conclude that the fact wherever state I am right now – is contributed to certain actions or decisions that I made. Also, circumstances interplay too.

Somethings I don’t regret. Somethings I do.

What is more important right now — at this very moment — is making a decision to do something for future me, and to take action.

I pray that I will remember this very moment.

I wish the best for all of you. Peace and love.

project LOSE 6 Pounds/3 kg: Wii Day 1

Tonight, I came back a little earlier and I didn’t have any appointments. So I decided to do Wii…after a long, long time! TIME TO GET IN SHAPE.

First, I took the Body Test in Wii Fit. If you are serious in getting shape and sticking with Wii, I would definitely recommend to take a body test as you need to know on your BMI, weight, balance, etc and also your Wii Fit age. Besides, they keep a visual graph record based on your body test, and in one way, it helps you keep track on your progress :).

Center of Balance is important as with a correct posture, you can burn more fat faster. (according to Wii, I have completely no idea!)

My BMI is 20.51, which is normal. I went up a little compared before (a long time ago!), so I need to keep in mind to either maintain or lower my BMI.

I am about 127.7 pounds, which is 57.9 kg. Haiyah, round it up to 58 kg lah.

What I love about Wii is that they have a goal setting, so you can keep yourself accountable. My goal is to lose 2 pounds in a month, only to realize it does not match with what I really want to lose weight (hate the conversion between pounds and kg). So if I want to be 55 kg, that’s about 3 kg difference. In conversion, that’s about 6 pounds, so I’ll change my goal tomorrow.

I did two balance tests and the result of my Wii Fit age is…

30 YEARS OLD aiyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Mai dai, mai dai!

Okay, the next few sessions, I’m aiming to hit either my age or below my age!

The next step after Body Test is doing some training! I started with Breathing under Yoga. Later, I did the Warrior (still under Yoga), then followed by Lunge (Strength Training)…

I also did the Triceps Extension under Strength Training. This is one of my favorite exercises – love the fact that it helps tone my triceps, hihi! :)

Get a bottle of water. Follow illustration above.

Then bend your elbow. Easy, right? You can do this anywhere!

I also did the Palm Tree under Yoga (sorry, I forgot to take a picture!). After Yoga and Strength Training, I went on for some Aerobics – my favorite Advanced Step! Each set is 5 minutes, and I did two rounds :).

My training ended with long-distance jogging.

And I spent…31 minutes training! :)

I really like the Fit Bank in the Wii Fit. It keep tracks on the time you spent training. Oprah says you should spent at least 10 minutes (or was it 15 minutes?) a day, exercising. For me, I find myself motivated by the Fit Bank.

It’s been a good Day #1 and I hope to be consistent in my next and future Wii sessions. Stay tuned! :)
