A week ago, my friends and I had a good, hearty and satisfied lunch at DAIRY HOME , located along the Pak Chong/Korat – Bangkok highway.

The front part of the restaurant – at first impression, you’d probably go “Huh?”, but don’t let looks deceive you!

We had to wait for a short while while they fixed us a place for 7.

The cake display looked tempting! The price is the same as a slice of cake from Secret Recipe’s.

As soon as we got seated, we went straight to the menu. No time wasted!

They have all sorts of steak – beef, fish, and pork. The price range is pretty much standard for a medium high-so restaurant.

The appetizer section is my absolute favorite section! I mean c’mon, mushroom soup and garlic bread? You got me smitten!

It’s cool that they also serve vegetarian dishes.

They served us iced water, accompanied by cute and colorful ceramic coasters.

This is Cliff’s Salmon Steak, 230 baht. His response? “It’s good!”

This is Sandy’s steak (it’s either T-Bone or New York cut, ugh I forgot!). But I want to focus here is the Fried Mozarella Cheese (on your right), 80 baht.

Sandy and her Mozarella Cheese ball.

A close-up of the cheese ball. It’s REALLY delicious and cheesy! Surprisingly, it goes well with the marmalade that they provide with (not so sure how it works with the pineapple though).

And here’s my (happy) order – Beef in Apple Wine Sauce (120 baht), Mushroom Soup (70 baht), and Garlic Bread (30 baht). My take? DELICIOUS, absolutely a lovely combination! My appetizers came first though, so by the time my Beef dish came, I was quite full. You can definitely share the Beef dish with another person or two.

A great find!

The soup, which is as good as Sizzler’s.

The garlic bread is absolutely delightful – crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and just the right amount of garlic and butter. You must definitely dip this into the mushroom soup. I prefer this 10x over Sizzler’s.

Dairy Home has this cute ballerina/angel bell on every table. So whenever you need something, just ring it and a staff will attend to you. Nice huh?

A lovely ambiance in the restaurant – the wooden seats and tables go well with the yellow lighting, which exudes coziness.

Another part of the restaurant – this section was filled with people earlier on.

When you go to Dairy Home, you must try their Organic Ice-Cream. They’ve got quite a range of flavors to choose from (oh, not to forget, yogurt ice-cream are available too!)

Sandy, Aaron, Cliff, Phanit, Rochael and Joy standing in front of the ice-cream counter. The ice-cream counter is the first thing you see when you enter the restaurant.

L-R: Cherry Brandy, Chocolate and Cookies and Cream.

Banana, Vanilla, ?, Jelly.

Here’s mine – Cookies & Cream, and another flavor at the bottom, which I forgot, tsk! One cup = 2 flavors. I think 1 cup costs 55 Baht. By the way, what’s also interesting is that after you’re done eating the ice-cream, return the cup to the counter and they’ll give you a new one to bring home! You can choose which cup designs you like too :) The pumpkin cup must be coinciding with Thanksgiving.

Good food, good company = happiness :)

Outside of the restaurant, there’s a cute pink house for kids. It attracted Joy…

Aaron…

and Rochael :)

Another part outside of the restaurant. See the tree house in the middle? The tree branches just reminded me Bella and Edward in a couple of scenes from Twilight, sigh.

Here’s a simple map (that I drew) to go to Dairy Home from Muak Lek town. Dairy Home also has their location map (it’s in Thai though).

As long as you see this sign from the highway, go into the junction. You can’t miss it! :)

This experience wouldn’t be complete without the presence of happy troopers. I will miss them immensely!
