The illustration of Vikki Chu

Posted November 10th, 2009 in Uncategorized and tagged , by Deanna

When I was first exposed to Adobe Illustrator in summer 2007, I was hooked! Since then, my interest towards illustration and vector art began to grow.

So when I stumbled upon the work of freelance illustrator Vikki Chu , let me tell you – I could not stop clicking “Older Entries”. The context, the intricate details and the mood that her drawings bring out are some of the features that made me a Vikki Chu fan.

Below are some of my favorite Vikki Chu works:

She draws a lot of houses, apartments and skyscraper buildings. I’ve a fascination for houses too.

kampung

…which reminded me of my kampung-in-stilts (village) drawings that I did for the mural competition for then Yamaha Music School Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

I especially love her work on “Grocery” and “Library”.

I mean, look at the details! Oranges, things in the cart, items in the shelves. Feels like you’re shopping too!

Gotta love the studying table scenario.

And there’s one on Airport! LOVES.

How cool is her Coke billboard?

Check her blog out for more Vikki Chu works. I think you’ll enjoy it too!
